TV capture is with DBViewer Pro, in the Telestream format, telestream file cleaning is done with Cypheros TS-Doctor, any clip editing is then done with DRD Systems VideoReDo Suite (I still prefer v5 to v6), saved in Telestream format, for another round of TS-Doctor (probably overkill), and then I save the cleaned telestream clip to MPEG2 format, back in VideoReDo - all edit and format resave operations are fast frame copying, with no transcoding required.

I am not a technical user of any of the utilities, but I muddle through.
