Major Lazer is an electronic reggae-dancehall DJ project created by American DJ/producer Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz). Formerly a collaboration along with DJ/producer Switch (Dave Taylor), they parted ways in late 2011. Diplo has since enlisted producers/DJs Jillionaire and Walshy Fire (of Black Chiney) to help with the production and live shows.
Amber Dawn Coffman (born June 15, 1984 in Austin, Texas, United States) is a singer and musician based in Brooklyn, New York. She is best known for her work with Sleeping People and Dirty Projectors.
She has also collaborated with electronic artist Rusko on the 2010 track "Hold On" and with Diplo of Major Lazer on the 2012 track "Get Free".
