La Bouche (french: The Mouth) was an Eurodance/Dance-pop duo formed by Frank Farian in Germany in 1994, consisting of Melanie Thornton and Lane McCray. Producer was Frankfurt-based Techno DJ Ulli Brenner. They scored two major worldwide hits in the mid-1990s with "Be My Lover" and "Sweet Dreams".
On the night of November 24, 2001, Melanie Thornton died in a plane crash of the Crossair Flight 3597 near Bassersdorf near Zürich in Switzerland.
